Owner D’Ambria Jacobs and Executive Chef, was born and raised in Tyler, Texas; she grew up in a family oriented environment where food was always the center of each and every gathering, birthday, holiday, graduation, any occasion was an excuse to eat in her family. So, no wonder she decided to give that same feeling to the world. Over the past few years she turned timeless family recipes into sophisticated items, her clients rave about. D’Ambria has been cooking and baking since 7 years old and doesn’t planned on stopping anytime soon, with 6 years of restaurant management and culinary experience she decided while attending the University of Houston’s Business School, to follow her heart and open Sophisticated Delights.
Pastry Chef Willie Holmes Our Newest addition, born and raised in Houston Texas, Willie Holmes wanted to work with food his entire life! Originally studied Hospitality Administration at Stephen F. Austin State University, Willie was on his way to becoming a Food and Beverage director. While working with ARAMARK Classic Fair Catering, he fell in love with wedding cakes! He quickly stopped everything that he was doing and switched career paths. After finishing his culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin Texas, he moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where he quickly rose to the top of his field which led to becoming and Executive Pastry Chef, and a Best of the Bay winner in 2014. Willie has returned to his hometown to leave his unique; creative culinary mark on Houston! With already so many culinary achievements in his life, he has made a great addition to the Sophisticated Delights family!!
